AJD Builders founder Adam J. Diaz has been working construction since he was 17 years young. Prior to founding AJD Builders in 2009, Adam gained first-hand experience working for:
Schalich Bros. Construction (Residential & Commercial Construction—Novato, CA)
Terra Firma Drilling (Foundation Drilling Company—Santa Barbara, CA)

Adam J. Diaz graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction Management and Architectural Engineering. AJD Builders was created with a passion and determination to completely satisfy customers in all of their residential building needs.
Meet the Team
Dan Wahler studied construction management and concrete industrial management at Chico State University. Dan has worked in all aspects of residential construction for the last 10+ years. His expertise include ground up, large scale remodels, additions, and small remodels. On Dan’s off time you may find him at the hardware store looking at new tools, Costco buying more dog food or working at home, wrangling in his pack of 5 dogs.
Jeffery Wahler has worked in the construction industry for the last 7+ years and started with AJD Builders in 2014. Along with being Dan’s brother, he owns a very cool dog named Opie. He is an avid gardener and excellent cook, in his spare time Jeff enjoys working on trucks, camping, white water rafting, BBQing and dancing.
Russell Schultz was a green horn to construction when he first set feet on site. Unaware of his future in construction, Russell knew the only way to succeed was through hard work and an open mind. Russell has become a critical element, helping out the club as a reliable apprentice carpenter. Russell enjoys American horse power in his off time, as he can be seen cruising in this Dodge Challenger. He is a man of tattoos and integrity, backed by a good work ethic.
Jesse Jean started with AJD Builders in 2016. Her inter-office skills have helped the company stay organized, profitable, and scheduled. In a world of hard men, rough attitudes, and long days, Jesse's ability to whip us into shape keeps all the gears greased. We are lucky to have such a lady on board with us men. Hobbies include horseback riding/training/roping, yoga, gardening, and cooking. Her two dobermans "Cash" and "June" can often be seen frolicking around the ranch.
Ryan Barbieri has worked with his family’s construction business doing home remodels, fences and decks, additions, electrical, and plumbing. He also gained commercial and industrial construction experience working for Air & Lube and solar/back-up power storage (Powerwall) experience with Tesla. He enjoys hanging out with his dog, Eddie and enjoys working on all kinds of trucks and his adventure bike. His present challenges are studying for his General Electrician Certification and learning horse archery.
Karlin Taylor is one hell of a builder. He enjoys his solitude and hates to have his picture taken — hence the hand draw picture he provided for his website photo. A natural born curmudgeon, problem solver, and lover of Budweiser and smokes, along with a no tolerance work ethic, Karlin is not to be underestimated. This man will run lead point building the home of your dreams and delivering extraordinarily high-end custom work.
Chris Greisen When he’s not framing your home, you might be able to find Christopher Robin laid up on a riverbank with a rod and reel in his hand. An avid fisherman and hunter, Chris is also a captain of an Alaskan fishing boat. Be sure to say hello to him on site, or good luck trying to find him in the mountains, somewhere between Alaska and Nevada on the weekends!!!
